Ferris State coming to Pittsburg next week. The best of the MIAA meets the second best (for now) of the GLIAC, while the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats visit the the Grand Valley State Lakers in Allendale. Get the women and children off the street!

Husky will pick up with Super Region IV tomorrow. Husky is "footballed out" for now. Meanwhile, all you Div II fans can be thinking who you will be picking to win some of next week's super match-ups. And there are quite a few.

Husky's Picks for the Round of 16 in the Div II Playoffs (9--3 in Round One)
Super Region I
Slippery Rock at Shepherd. Shepherd was not impressive offensively against Assumption in the second half. Both Shepherd and The Rock have outstanding QBs in Bagent and Grover. Shepherd is home once again, Husky can't get the IUP--SRU game out of his mind, where The Rock defense broke down. Husky is inclined to go with Shepherd and Bagent--the artful dodger-- in this game, but anything could happen.
Ashland at IUP. Husky is in a twitch about this one. Both teams have one loss. IUP lost to a very good Gannon team. Ashland suffered its only defeat to a 5--6 Hillsdale team, but had all the stats in their favor except for yards lost to penalties. There was also one pick 6 for Hillsdale in the 4th quarter when the game was quite close, and that really changed things. Ashland could beat IUP, but Husky is going with the home team and #1 seed Crimson Hawks in this one.
Husky could readily come out 0--2 in this Super Region.
Super Region II
Wingate versus Benedict Husky did not admittedly pay very close attention to the SAC or SIAC his year, but from what he has belatedly been able to garner up with respect to records and strength of schedule, he is picking Benedict to win this game.
Delta State versus West Florida The game is at Delta State. The regular season game was at Delta State. It was a shootout won by the Statesmen 45--42. Husky sees another high scoring game, but this time he is going with West Florida to win. Delta State's performance has slackened somewhat in the latter portion of their. schedule. West Florida took NO prisoners last week in Round One.
Super Region III
Are you kidding me? Northwest Missouri State at #1 seeded Grand Valley. The Bearcats stellar defense demolished Ouachita Baptist's highly vaunted running game last weekend. It is hard to go against NWMSU, but this is Grand Valley, #1 in the nation, and at home in Allendale. GVS has a much more diverse offense than OBU, and Husky favors the Lakers to win this one. The Game of the Week!
Pittsburg State at Ferris State. A tough order for the undefeated Gorillas coming to Ferris State to take on the Bulldogs, and Husky thinks FSU will win this on, thereby setting up an SR final with GLIAC rival Grand Valley.
Super Region IV
Bimidji State goes to Texas to play #2 Angelo State. Husky has seen this act before and the results will be the same Angelo State advances to play the winner of Colorado Mines and Minnesota State game.
Minnesota State at Colorado Mines Minnesota State got off to a somewhat slow start this season, but the Mavericks soon really picked it up and are running in high gear. The game is however in Colorado, but Husky is still picking the Mavericks to continue their high level of play and win this game.
Anybody who wishes to take issue with Husky on any of these picks feel free to do so. Husky is always open to any discussion. Husky will probably pay closest attention to the games AT Shepherd and IUP come Saturday.
