I am fine with Marcano trying to get to second with 2 out in the 9th.
1) Take the gamble to get in scoring position
2) I like him starting the 10th on second (with the rule of last batter in the 9th starts on second)

Brewers score a run in the 9th without a hit. Ghost runner on 2nd. Runner moved over. Two intentional walks. Then HBP to score the run.

So Milwaukee did nothing to score that run except stand there. Rob Manfred should walk the plank. This is shit baseball.

When the Brewers were up by 1 in the 10th, it didn't really feel like they were winning because I knew we already had a runner on second. I'm glad we won, but nothing exciting about winning on a wild pitch. I agree with you.

The Bucs do have a nice young core with Reynolds, Hayes, Cruz, and Marcano. They will have to figure out 1B and the 2 other outfield positions. Hopefully they can resign Perez at C for another year until Davis and Rodriguez are ready.

In my opinion they have the best players up right now. You could make an argument that Suwinski should be up instead of Allen or Mitchell and Castillo instead of VanMeter, and it would be a fair argument. Especially considering the need for another right handed bat in Castillo.

Spring training 2023 is going to be very interesting I can’t wait to see who emerges out of this group of young studs.

Cards pull within a 1/2 game of the Brewers for first place, they tangle with the Cubs again tonight. They won the first game of a double dip today 4-3.
