PSAC Picks for Football Games (Week 13)

All games are crossover games and the West teams are thehome team.

West Chester wins at Clarion to finish the season on a positive note--especially after the win at Kutztown.

Edinboro beats Lock Haven, who will finish up winless. A darn shame; but cheer up Bald Eagle fans, as wrestling season is upon us and the LHU grapplers will bring home plenty of wins.

Millersville will win at Seton Hill. The Marauder program has made great strides forward this year! Husky likes what he has been seeing from the Lancaster Countians!

Gannon will win at home over Shppensburg. but the rad Raiders are not to be taken lightly--a very enigmatic year for them. Gannon playing for a post-season playoff berth.

California, after a very frustrating season, will defeat the Warriors of East Stroudsburg. Cal is better than their record shows.

Slippery Rock looking for a post-season playoff berth will defeat Kutztown. Kutztown is missing some key personnel, so Husky has ben told. If so, it showed against West Chester.

Bloomsburg journeys to Mercyhurst. Two programs in disarray. Husky goes with the home team--the Lakers. The season can't be over too soon for the Huskies!

In the PSAC State Championship game, Husky is picking Shepherd. The Crimson Hawks had no luck stopping Gannon's passing game, and nor will they be able to curb Shepherd's ace QB Bagent. See you all on Saturday. Husky will be watching all the games on his computer. No need to point out the game of the week, although there is an interesting bunch of crossover games. To my cousin in Indiana, PA and a huge Crimson Hawks fan, Husky is sorry to pick against your guys. Enjoy the game! :D

Some Info

There will be no more Top 25 rankings posted, as it is the Super Regional Rankings that are now of the utmost importance. Top 25 Rankings are however available on PSAC Football Notes for those interested. BTW, the game between Slippery Rock and Kutztown has taken on added importance, as Kutztown is hanging around--in spite of three losses--in the Super Region One rankings. A win by Kutztown could put the Golden Bears into the post--season. Who knows what a loss for Slippery Rock would do to them. Actually, with respect to the post-season, this game is probably more important than the IUP--Shepherd championship game. Husky will have more to say on this topic in his commentary in a couple of days. Husky would like to thank everybody for your interest and all the views. Husky really loves doing this Div II/PSAC Report. He has been doing this for years on this website and elsewhere, but he is getting ahead of himself. We still have the entire Div II playoffs to enjoy. If you are an IUP or Shepherd fan, Ihope you can get to the PSAC championship game. More to follow in a day or so. For sure, I will see you all on Saturday.

Most importantly

The IUP--Shepherd game on Saturday for the overall PSAC Championship will be broadcast on The PSAC Sports Digital Network. Go to the PSAC website, click under sports on football, go to composite schedule, go to the IUP or Shepherd schedule, November 12, go all the way to the right and click on video, and you should be there. Coverage starts at 2:45. If anything else comes up, Husky will post the info. I don't know if PCN is also providing coverage. If not, they should be; but who knows in this day and age with all the competition for coverage for everything flying about. Can't wait! :D :D
BTW, if you can, take in a PIAA high school football playoff game whenever and wherever possible. Lots of exciting action, as the playoffs proceed into Round Two. As ways, I would welcome any and all comments or additions and corrections.

PSAC Football Scores (Week Eleven)

West Cheester 36 Clarion 27 Golden Rams finish up strong.

Edinboro 26 Lock Haven 13 As expected

Millersville 14 Seton Hill 10 Marauders win again. Showing promise for next year.

Shippensburg 35 Gannon 28 OT Gannon's playoff hope squelched by the Red Raiders.

California 28 East Stroudsburg 7 Vulcans get a decisive win.

Kutztown 23 Slippery Rock 21 Kutztown now has a shot at the playoffs, and The Rock will now be seeded lower. They hope.

Bloomsburg 16 Mercyhurst 13 Huskies finally win over somebody.

IUP 24 Shepherd 21 IUP simply made the plays, and Shepherd did not.

Husky broke even making only four correct picks out of 8, to finish up with a record of 66--29 His best pick was Millersville winning again--this time over Seton Hill. His worst was his picking Shepherd to defeat IUP. Actually, all four of his wrong picks were pretty bad. Gannon missed a great opportunity to be in the running for the post-season, and Kutztown came up big and just might sneak into the playoffs. The golden bears did have a very tough schedule, and consequently they still may be considered based on strength of schedule. More results and reports tomorrow.
