The top teams for each Super Region
https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/football/ ... l-rankings
These are only lists of the supposed10 best teams in alphabetical order for each Super Region. They are not rankings. For example, Grand Valley would obviously be the #1 ranked team in their super region, or Shepherd would have to be #1 in their super region. The lists do, however, give some idea as to who is at this time in the running for the post season. Husky thinks the first ranking will come out after next weekend's games.

Games involving Two Top 25 Teams (AFCA Poll)
Husky has spotted early on one such game, as #18 and undefeated Davenport journeys to Michigan to play #23 Saginaw Valley in GLIAC action. There is good reason to believe that Davenport will go home with its first loss. To be noted is that the Panthers have only played the lesser/weaker teams in the conference up to this point. Saginaw played both Grand Valley and Ferris State extremely tough. Davenport must still play all three of the above mentioned teams--Saginaw, Grand Valley, and Ferris State. Davenport now undefeated could easily finish the season with three losses.

Commentary
There wasn't much doubt where the game was going in Farrell Stadium this past Saturday. Shepherd was simply too much for West Chester with QB Bagent once again doing his thing for big yardage resulting in a big score for the Rams over the Golden Rams. At least, West Chester got through the game without having a punt blocked, and they did score the first TD, but it was all downhill after that. Kutztown had its way over Lock Haven which was to be exoected, so the golden Bears stay in the hunt for a post season berth. Millersville got a really nice win over Shippensburg to underline once again that the Marauders are improving and going in the right direction. Lastly in the East, Bloomsburg simply frittered away what should have been a win for them, as any number of coaching blunders came to the fore, which resulted in the ESU victory. Premature use of all three timeouts, too many men on the field for an ESU punt which gave the Warriors a first down and new life in one instance. and last of all not being able to score with 1st and goal on the one yard line in the waning minutes of the game. Four straight runs simply did not cut it. Complete lack of any offensive imagination. What is not hard to imagine is what will happen to the Huskies down at Shepherd the day after tomorrow.
Out in the West, Edinboro showed up surprisingly with a scoring binge to beat Clarion. Gannon got back on track by beating their crosstown rival Mercyhurst rather handily. IUP in its march to the ultimate showdown with Shepherd had little trouble with Seton Hill. Lastly Slippery Rock stayed in the playoff hunt with a 42--24 win over the Vulcans of California. In fairness to California, they easily had the toughest schedule in the the entire PSAC this year playing SRU, IUP, Kutztown, and Shepherd--the four toughest teams in the conference. That's all for now. See you all Saturday.

Re: PSAC and Div II Football 2022
PSAC football Scores, October 29 (Week Nine)
PSAC East
West Chester 58 Lock Haven 10 Lock haven's woes continue.
Kutztown 20 Millersville 13 Marauders played the Golden Bears tough. Kutztown still in the playoff running.
Shepherd 55 Bloomsburg 10 Rams romped. What else?
East Strousburg 23 Shippensburg going in the wrong direction
PSAC West
Seton Hill 45 Edinboro 14 Griffins finally get a win.
California 44 Mercyhurst 20 Vulcans expected to win this one. Too little too late to make the playoffs.
Slippery Rock 31 Clarion 0 The Rock now tied for first place with IUP and Gannon
Gannon 43 IUP 36 Golden Knights pull off a huge upset and are now in a three way tie for first in the PSAC West.
Husky picked 5 0f the 8 games correctly. He was wrong about the ESU--Ship, IUP--Gannon (Who wasn't?), and the Seton Hill--Edinboro games. Husky's record is now 56--23. Husky's best pick was Kutztown over Millerswille because he predicted the Marauders would make a close game of it. His worst pick was taking IUP over Gannon. Gannon meets California at California next weekend and will have to win that game to remain in a tie for first place. It is highly unlikely that either or both IUP and SRU will lose, so it seems Gannon must beat the Vulcans to stay tied. In another game out in the GLIAC #18 Davenport edged #23 Saginaw Valley 29--28. There are some other important Div II scores which Husky will round up and post later after all games are decided. Some of them are night games. Games between two ranked teams are now very important as playoff selection is not that far down the road. Some more scores:
#19 Kearney (Nebraska) 24 #14Northwest Missouri State 28
Unranked Hillsdale 36 #9 Ashland 20
Unranked Minnesota State 38 #18 Souix Falls 24
