Man, you said it buccoboy, with Hayes missing first and Craig chasing the runner back home. It’s unbelievable, I’m 67 years old,Pirate fan all my life and I don’t remember seeing it before 😩

I understand why Hayes missed the bag. He was looking at the ball, running full speed not knowing if the ball was out or not. My question is did he not realize he missed first base which to me would be strange. Maybe he thought nobody noticed because he could have easily returned to the base and touched it before he reached second. Would be awkward, but better than having a home run taken away.

Once again, that is Hayes fault, but I would like to think the first base coach or someone should have noticed and called him back to touch it.

Allegedly, the first base coach Brock did yell at him but he couldn't hear him over the crowd noise, fireworks and PA system. :shock:
