By itself, this is impressive enough.
FWIW (probably nothing), McCutchen has the most of players whose career has been in the free agent era. Not sure what that says, if it says anything at all.

I guess one has to put thought in what it would take to break Cutch's mark
Safe to say, in the free agent era, no one can catch Stargell or Clemente. Guys who would be capable to do it would need to be so good early on that they'd play their way into some other uniform before they would make it.
So, in a way, this mark's a double-edged sword. Guys have to be good enough to do it......and stay long enough to do it.
Cutch lost time for that reason. I could see it happening as a possibility, but it will be hard. Even Barry Bonds couldn't do it, as good as he was as a Pirate.
I say that it will be a while until someone replaces him on this list. ...if ever.

Cutch blasted his 292nd home run of his career today (4/25/23), a fourth inning 3 run homer to put the Pirates up 7-2. Those were the last runs the Bucs would score in this game, as the Dodgers battled back to take game 1 of this three game series.
