Countdown to 100 losses

The way the weighted lottery works, there is a 50% chance that the #1 pick will go to one of the 3 worst records in baseball. Those 3 picks are weighted evenly. Here are the worst records.

1) Nationals 55-104
2) Athletics 57-102
3) Pirates 60-99 (would win tie-breaker based on having a worse record last year)
--------------------
4) Reds 60-99
5) Royals 64-95

In the whole scheme of things it doesn't matter if the Pirates aren't willing to spend some money. Also, we need to start winning, if we want good players to sign here. We also know that so much of the draft turns out to be a crapshoot. However for this year, I will gladly take the #1 pick and the maximum amount of slot money.

They’re a couple of characters, that’s for sure.

The Nutting is cheap banter gets old, but they are hard core true Bucs fans so I appreciate them. Just like I do everyone on this forum.

Alvy they referred to as an apologist, because he always had excuses for management and the way they run the organization.

I personally am no fan of Shelton’s or Nutting, but thread after thread bashing them gets old.
