.....I must say that despite it being September baseball, I am liking what I see from some of the young hitters.......lately the results really highlight the need for a closer.....

What has my attention is Sabol, Endy Rodriguez, and Henry Davis at catcher.
There could be three solid hitting catchers.
Nunez, N. Gonzales, Shackelford, Peguero, Priester, Gorski, + the aforementioned catcher trio all are having decent seasons (Altoona is loaded with talent), I am hoping at least 1/2 of them turn out to be major contributors in a Pirates uniform.
I know that N. Gonzales & Peguero are highly touted, but I'm still a little "wait and see" with them. I'd like to see greater dominance from them. I think that the other players you mention have certainly earned a look next year.
FOR NOW, I'm ok with Cruz staying at SS, but if Peguero takes off, I think then they need to get more serious about moving Cruz to the outfield.
I like Cal MItchell. I'm not sure how much, if any, infield he has ever played. If at all possible, I think I'd like to see him work out at 1B. I think a 1B platoon of Mitchell and Chavis would be an experiment worth exploring.
