This was worst move of the season for Cherington giving this guy that much playing time. Makes no sense. There were a couple other players similar but he was the worst.

I have no hate towards VanMeter. He played the game the right way and hustled. One of my issues was picking up a guy that was released by Diamondbacks(worst record in baseball last year) is no way to build a franchise.

My other issue was that the Pirates are flooded with young middle infielders at every level. The best five possibly being (Cruz, Nick Gonzalez, Termarr Johnson, Liover Peguero and maybe Bubba Chandler). While some of those guys still need more seasoning, we have a second tier crop of young infielders that should have been getting more at bats (Rodolfo Nolasco, Diego Castillo, Tucapita Marco, Hoy Park, Ji-Hwan Bae...)
