Out of last place for a day.

Seems the Pirates put a pretty good whooping on the Reds this year.

If they finish with the same record, would the Pirates be 4th or 3rd in the MLB draft order?

I am assuming Pirates would be 4th and Reds will get a lottery chance to pick anywhere from 1st to 3rd.

I honestly don’t think it matters too much in the MLB draft as much as NBA, NFL, or NHL draft. Unless some sure thing is sitting there at the number 1 pick.

If we played the reds every game we would win 100 instead of the alternative.Hopefully we get out of last and avoid 100 losses.

Unreal

Cards get 4 in the 7th on 3 hits and a BB and 2 costly Pirate errors.

7-7 in the 7th

Reds and Cubs tied at 2 in the 7th.

Reds walk it off in the 9th on an RBI double from Steer.

Reds 3 Cubs 2 Final

Bucs have to win to stay even with the Reds

Cards score the ghost runner but get nothing else in the 10th.

The Pirates would be third if they tied. The tie-breaker is that they go by the worse record from the previous year.

Final Cards 8 Pirates 7

There it is 100 losses on the year

After putting up 6 in the third, Pirates fail to score another run.

Reds now a game up

What exactly did Shelton challenge? I heard blocking of the plate. He wasn’t blocking the plate, but It sure as heck looked like he got his hand in before the tag.

Why don’t they just review the entire play? Replay should be able to make the determination if the catcher blocked the plate or if the runner was safe. If they give Shelton an option, there is a 99.9% chance he will choose the wrong one.
