In my opinion, the Pirates starting line-up usually consists of 3 guys that are legit major league starters, 3 young guys that are "trying out" for the team, and 3 guys that should not be in a major league starting line-up.

Yesterday Cruz was sandwiched in between Greg Allen(.175 average) and Jason Delay. His biggest downfall is how he chases outside the strike zone. Can you imagine how much better he would be hitting if he was in the middle of a line-up like the Phillies, Braves or Yankees?

Fire Shelton fire Cherrington

This team has somehow become much worse as the season as progressed. More errors, starting pitching is abysmal, can’t score runs.

Just pathetic all around

That’s the thing, when this gets turned around Shelton won’t be here anyway. If he is ,I’ll be surprised. And we’re making this Philly pitcher look like Roy Halliday.

At our current pace, we will lose 102 games. There are only 2 teams in all of baseball with a worse W-L record. What will it take for Nutting to call Cherington into his office and tell him "You are fired!!!"

They said this is the first time the Pirates have been winning after the first inning since July 11th.
