You can close the book on Yajure, thank goodness, 1.1 IP 3 H 3 BB 5 runs 4 ER. His ERA is now 9.77 on the year.

The ERA’s of the Pirates pitchers today, look more like Olympic judges scores for the high dive, than actual MLB pitchers ERA’s.

There is a 9.77 in there, a 6.00, a 5.13, another 6 +.

The Bulgarian judge threw in a 3.72 for good measure.

Final Brewers 6 Pirates 1

Yajure takes the L

The bad: 2 more errors today, Yajure was awful, Ramirez stunk, the offense could only muster the one run.

The good: Thompson pitched well, Newman 2-4 and is now hitting .281 on the year, the Gamel home run, that was about it.

Could have and should have won this series, the blown save by Crowe in game 1 was costly.

I had the same question, but they said the plan for him, but Greg Brown said the plan by the Pirates was to only let him go 4 innings today. To me, that tells me 2 things. 1) They are trying to develop their players with a certain plan. 2) Whether they win or lose doesn't even matter.

The #2 scares me that it might filter down to the players.

They're probably just watching his workload.
He didn't pitch in 2020. He threw 90 innings in 2021. He's at 108 this year.
