How bad was Gregory Polanco?

With his 3-5 yesterday evening Kevin Newman now has an OPS of .723 for the year, which is greater than Polanco's lifetime OPS of .718

The league average for OPS in baseball this year is around .698. Polanco had times when he looked like he was going to live up to the hype(#13 prospect in baseball) while he would go on stretches where he was awful. Even though many were hoping he would be the next Cutch, overall he was an average everyday player. We now have a player even taller than Polanco with a lot of hype ranked the #18 prospect in baseball. I hope we as fans don't set the bar too high for this guy. I don't think he is an OPS batting average type of guy either.

How many more AB's will we waste on Cruz before we send him back to AAA?
