Being a guy that follows prospects, I have a lot of respect and the plan of the new GM, given the spending I am guessing he is allotted . I don't have confidence in our owner. I think we are two years away from competing, if he goes out and spends money on players. Our situation seems very similar to were we were about a dozen years ago. We didn't really start competing until we were willing to spend money on guys like Martin, Bunett, Liriano etc.
It takes having a solid core of guys before you grab a Burennett, Martin, and Liriano.
Unfortunately the owner isn't willing to (or able to compete) with other teams for a big free agent. But he has shown he will spend money when the time is right.
They need to get a core group established. So far it's Hayes, Reynolds, and Cruz.

GOG for last nights game goes to Cherington. This man has set the organization back 10 years.
What the Hell are you drinking?
Do you ever tire of apologizing for this Management?
I accept what the organization is.
You don't seem to and are expecting things that won't happen.
Kinda like taking your spouse back everytime they cheat on you and you are thinking they wo t do it again. But yet do it again and again and again.

Talk about taking your spouse back everytime they cheat on you and you are thinking they wo t do it again. But yet do it again and again and again. This is the Pirates you are speaking of. They are 2 years away????? They have told us this over and over and over again, but yet you believe them again and again and again. Can't you see we will always be 2 years away.

Then why are you watching if the product will never meet your standards?

My vote for last night goes to Tucapita Marcano. Marcano great diving catch. Stealing second. Getting an extra base on a hit. #1 is how he scored from third when there was a rundown between first and second. He might not be an everyday player, but can make things happen when he is in there.

I am waiting to hear if it is:
Brubaker 7 innings 2 hits 0 walks 7 strike outs 0 earned runs
or
Reynolds 3 for 4 2 homers 4 rbi's?
We usually don't have one performance like that, let alone 2.
