He was in demand at the all-star break last year and this past off-season. The rumor was that the Pirates were asking for the moon in return. I am pretty sure they won't salary dump him because he is still locked up for 2 years. I am not certain they won't trade him. The Padres, Yankees, Mets, Blue Jays and Giants especially have some pretty high prospects that should be in the majors next year. If the Pirates brought back the moon in return, it would be difficult to turn it down. I know Nutting would love it. I agree with you though Shedman that we can't rebuild forever.

I'm not particularly optimistic that we could get anything close to the moon for Reynolds.

The very last thing we need is more prospects for Reynolds. We have prospects in the majors tripping over one another and we are losing game after game. We need to trade some of those prospects for another player like Reynolds.
