So Lonnie White Jr. is the only one of the big 4 left. Don't know if there is enough money left for him, but he was probably the least likely to bypass his college football offer.
The Bucs Are Going All The Way, All The Way, All The Way
https://triblive.com/sports/pirates-agr ... -chandler/The Pirates went $2,129,300 over-slot, thanks to the savings on the under-slot signings of No. 1 overall pick Henry Davis – which saved $1,915,300 – sixth-rounder Mike Jarvis, which saved $307,900. That leaves the Pirates $1,521,500 remaining from their $14,394,000 draft pool to sign their Competitive Balance B round pick, Malvern Prep outfielder Lonnie White Jr., and their fourth-rounder, Vermont prep right-hander Owen Kellington. The slot value for White at the No. 64 pick is $1,050,300 and for Kellington at No. 102 is $571,400.
Thanks for sharing. Can someone tell me if I am understanding the concept correctly. The Pirates have 1.5 million left to sign Lonnie White Jr and Owen Kellington. (I believe if the Pirates go over 5% of their slot money they are penalized a #1 pick and money, so they will not do this.) If they go over by 5% or less they are only penalized 75% of what they go over.) If my Math is correct, the Pirates can go over by roughly $700K and will only be penalized $500k. Therefore the way I see it the Pirates can actually give bonuses to a total of 2.2 million to the 2 players.
