I don't understand the rule where catchers aren't supposed to block the plate. Contreras clearly had the plate blocked. Shouldn't that mean Vogelbach could plow him over? It seems like they have really softened on that rule, the catcher was supposed to leave a clear path to the plate. Not sure why ...

Well the good news is the Cubs only managed 1 more run after the barrage in the first. And the Pirates were Able to collect 3 hits this game, one by Tsutsugo which is a feat in of itself.

This lower half of the lineup is almost laughable. I never thought it would’ve possible, but I yearn for Newman to get back in the lineup.
