A rare chance to actually WATCH a game today. Some random first inning thoughts:

-AJ's slider is nasty.
-Marte's got jets.
-Love Cutch's stance. It's like Chipper meets Killebrew (and someone else I'm missing).
-I'll never understand why [some] fans are polarized by GJ. He's been a solid contributor since he was called up those years ago.
-I loved that it happened, but Pedro is lucky to have gotten that 2B. Some lazy D by Loney.

NOT SO random thoughts on your random thoughts and some Random Thoughts of my own...

AJ-Yes it is...as is his WHOLE game. I never really thought of him as a great pitcher...just an above average guy...and really thought getting him was stupid, just another Bedard, Correia, etc. Man, was I WRONG!

MARTE- This is another guy I may have been wrong about. I thought he too was just going to be an average to above average major leaguer....by watching his numbers. That's why numbers don't tell the whole story. I think Marte is going to be special and see no reason why he cannot mature like Cutch.

GJ- I have always loved him. I also cannot understand why so many fans DON'T love him. At worst, he is a righty basher. At best, he can carry a team when he gets into his hot stretches.

Bucs gonna pull this one out and get it going again! GO BUCS!

It was kinda funny the way Donnie Baseball wanted that one ump and they kept hiding him behind the other three.

Please do not take the foot off the gas. 3 runs will not be enough. Far fewer goose eggs on the scoreboard.

1. Memorandum is improperly formatted for official submission.
a. It lacks proper spacing, letterhead, office symbol, signature block and TPS cover sheet.
b. Body also unusually short length of typical memorandum.

2. Please re-submit by COB today.

3. POC is the undersigned, at commercial (XXX) 123-4567, or via e-mail at NSMaster56@gmail.com.

Pedro apparently didn't get the "re-focus" message. That was a horrendous effort. Absolutely horrendous.

One team here added real MLB players and one didn't and the players they added are kicking our asses and making a big difference.

One team can afford $16 million a year for 3 years, one team couldn't, blah blah blah

You do realize that Snider has outhit Victorino since the deadline?

Frustratingly Unbelievable... or unbelievably frustrating!

But AJ is on the mound. That's it. Bucs will come back. Have faith.

Snider and Sanchez have BOTH done well since the trades.

Rodriguez has not, but he is a quality pitcher.

Pirates made trades for now AND the future.

Both good things and bad things happen over a 162 game season just as they do in a sample size as small as 1 game. What the heck is wrong with commenting on the positives and negatives? It's called telling the truth.

Now...let's get this win. Have to have it.

We added Wandy a legit MLB player, Snider (.344/.866) has been better than Victorino. Hanley was not available to us.
