FRUSTRATING! That's all I am saying.

STARTER: WRod. 10 hits and a walk in 5.2 innings. Just 1 strikeout. 5 earned runs. Bad Start.

LOSER: WRod loses another one, dropping to 7-12, 4.06....even worse as a Pirates. Should he be dropped from rotation instead of Bedard or Correia?

GOAT: Went back and forth between WRod, who made it bad, and Resop, who made it worse. WRod gave them a 5-2 lead. Resop made it 9-2. Other candidates include Pedro 0-4 with 4 K's and Marte 0-4 with 3 K's. But they really would not have made much of a difference if they had succeeded even a little in those at bats. In the end, I am giving WRod and Resop BOTH goat horns!

Honorable Mention: Hard to consider an HM on such a pathetic night...but have to give Snider one. Still bothered by a hamstrung hamstring, he had just one AB off the bench, doubled and subsequently hobbled home. Have to give him a little kudos for that.

STAR #3: Cutch went 1-3 with solo HR. Hopefully this HR can get him going again.

STAR #2: Sanchez went 2-4 with 2 doubles and a run. I have liked what he and Snider have done since the trades.

STAR #1: Everybody's whipping boy, Barmes came off the bench late and went 2-2 with an RBI. On a night like this, that's about the best we had!

Pedro gets the horns for me. He struck out 4 times on 17 pitches. 17! That is absolutely zero bat discipline. He swung and missed 7 times and only had two balls thrown at him all night. It's obvious that pitchers don't feel they need to be careful with him at all. Two of his four ABs were three pitch Ks.

I certainly understand your frustration with Pedro and where you are coming from, but for me, even a horribly offensive offensive night like this is tough to call the reason for a 6 run loss.
