Ugly loss. But they are all ugly! AND NO....the sky is NOT falling! Have faith. Gotta go back to getting some clutch hits. Well, we actually did, but not enough, then a rare bad performance from pen did us in. It happens. We got a great night from the top of the order, 7-12 with 4 runs and 3 RBI. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

STARTER: Karstens Wasn't terrrible, but definately not on the top of his game. Gave up 3 earned runs in 6 innings. By definition, that is quality start, right? I am calling this one an OK start. He kept us in the game, and left down by just a run.

LOSER: Grilli. We all saw it. Nothing more to say.

BLOWN SAVE: Just Grilli's second of the year. It happens.

GOAT: Grilli gets the trifecta. He comes in with the lead, leaves down by 3. Ugly.

STAR #3: Cutch goes 2-3 with 2 RBI.

STAR #2: Snider goes 3-5 with 2 runs.

STAR #1: Marte goes 2-4 with a monster HR, 2 runs, and RBI.

The 3 stars tonight are hardly in doubt, but it would have been interesting to see how many more honorable mentions there would have been had if the Bucs had held on. There were some quality AB's all around, not to mention Watson doing a good job out of the pen and the potential for Hammer time.

Good 7 innings of ball tonight. Just need to go out and play the full 9 tomorrow!

You are correct, sir. And if not for the subsequent blowout, Sanchez would have likely been the goat in a close game, stranding 5 runners.

We'll get them tomorrow!

Reds, Cardinals, Braves, and Dodgers all lost today. Would've been a great game to have won. Damn!

You are right, but on the other hand, if you gotta lose, you might as well do it when you don't lose any ground!
