All Wandy Rodriguez does is get base hits.

Can we move him ahead of Barmes in the order?

Yet again the Pirates come out stone cold after a day off. Like the sun rising in the East, it's a given.

Sigh.

I feel like we need a dose of McKenry.

That black hole that is Barmes-Barajas-Pitcher needs to end. It kills us.

On a brighter note, Jeff Locke is pitching a masterpiece tonight for Indianapolis. Seven scoreless, 2 hits, 9 strikeouts.

The lineup needs a reshuffle. Marte isn't a lead-off hitter. Snider is probably a 7th or 8th hitter. McKenry needs to be playing over Barajas, and could probably lead-off.

McKenry
Walker
McCutchen
Jones
Marte
Alvarez
Snider
Barmes

I'd leadoff Walker and leave Snider in the two hole for now.

I was afraid of entering the Pub for fear of killing the rally.

Looks like my fears were pure superstition.

Well, that's probably the ballgame: 5 K's, 4 harmless singles, 3 double plays, and a #%$! partridge in a pear tree.

Retarded by Hurdle. Bat Barajas. Pinch hit McKenry for Barmes, then put Mercer at SS.

Not the best performance from the Pirates.

Almost feels like a "Not ready for prime-time" game tonight. Time to lick the wounds and get one tomorrow. Yep, I'm calling this one over. :(

Looks like it.

However, didn't the Bucs beat Chapman twice earlier this year?

Just sayin...
