Missed the game entirely for daughter's graduation party, so going by the boxscore and recap. If I missed something, let me know. Looks like a good win. Looks like JMac came back strong from a mediocre outing. That's what great pitchers do, and what I expect from Burnett's next start. I read that he may start two games in a row because of the break. That would be cool!
JMac outpitched the NL ERA leader. Bucs got just enough production from their offense against the ERA leader. Good win!

STARTER: Seems like JMac was phenomenal. Seven innigns in searing heat. Just four singles, no walks, 10 K's. Just one earned run. Calling this one a GREAT START!

WIN: JMac improves to 9-3. Damn, I keep forgetting that record doesn't mean anything! ERA drops to 2.37, third in the league behind Cueto's 2.35 and Vogelsong's 2.36. Call these three the "Null Stars".

STAR #3: Neil Walker goes 2-4, with two doubles, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. He drives in one of the three Piratre runs.

STAR #2: Mike McKenry goes 2-3,with a double and his 7th HR.

STAR #1: Clean sweep for JMac in this game. He was THE guy. In addition to his fantastic pitching, he went 1-1 plus a walk and scored one of our three runs.
Honorable Mention for Pedro who 1-3 with a double and RBI.

Barmes deserves at least an honorable mention if not a "3" star for his two timely and brilliant defensive gems in the top of the 9th that kept the Giants from adding runs. He may not make a more impressive play the rest of the season. Even better, they came against consecutive hitters. If you didn't watch the game, you wouldn't know this from looking at the box score.

Thanks Bob. That's the things you miss when you don't get a chance to watch or listen. Will add him as an HM.

Areed, back to back incredible snags and long throws that gave Hanrahan two outs rather than a 2-1 score and a guy on first with no outs!

Watch the highlight shows this morning, both Quick Pitch and Baseball Tonight showed both of them
