I think I would have gone with Fryer today to rest the Fort in this heat.

It's regarding McCutchen's injury, not a regular day off.

Josh Harrison looks like Koko B Ware with those shades...

Seriously. Runner on 3rd with less than two outs and he can't get the runner in. Now he taps it to the pitcher (again) and hits into a DP. Unreal.

TABATA SUCKS!!! And yea, Clint, the bunt master doesn't bunt a suspect hitter again. I'm not a fan of bunting, but it is interesting that he didn't bunt Sutton or Tabata considering that's his usual mode. Maybe he has seen too many 3 run homers and is playing for the big inning! :D

What happened to Alvarez? Saw there was an "injury delay" on Gameday and he was replaced by a pinch-runner.

Either a cramp or hamstring. He did grab his hamstring area, but it didn't look real serious. Hard to say from TV.

Wehner thought it was cramps due to the heat!

In a 162 game season you have to look at everything as one series at a time. Win you clinch the series early, and you have guys that are either banged up or haven't had a day off in a while you take the oppertunity to give it to them. Who knows, you may start splitting the first 2 games and then they may not have a chance for a month or more.

Combine that with the heat over the past few days and it's a no brainer.

Would sure hate to lose a game in which Ft. Mc Henry hits a three run dinger. Who is St. Louis' closer anyway?
(And why are the Brewers wearing green jerseys right now?)

It's unreal how many times he's the one at the plate when a critical hit is needed. He's really the one guy other than the pitcher in the lineup I really don't want up there in those situations right now, and yet it seems to ALWAYS end up being him. Sigh.
