There was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
Great 1-0 win!

STARTER: Burnett. Would like to have seen him go more than 5 1/3 innings. 6 hits and 2 BB. But NO RUNS, with help from the pen! Calling this a GOOD start!

WIN: Burnett.

HOLDS: Hughes, Grilli, Cruz Near perfection from these guys! Bucs bullpen has best ERA in the National League!

SAVE: Hanrahan He was a bit shakey again, but got the job done to earn his 11th save.

STAR #3: Giving it to Pedro. Not a perfect night. K'd twice. Left 3 stranded on base. But did come through with a hit, that led to the only run of the game. Also, made a steller defensive play that helped preserve the shutout and win.

STAR #2: Grilli. 3 batters. 12 pitches. 10 strikes. Struckout all three batters, which gives him SEVEN strikeouts in a row. In addition, he now has 33 strikeouts in just 18 innings. And this is without getting to pitch AGAINST the Bucs! Simply amazing.

STAR #1: Barajas. Like Pedro, not perfect. But did come up with clutch 2 out hit to drive in the only run of the game and ended up 2-4. Good to see his bat starting to come around.

Honorable Mentions: Hughes gets an HM, coming in with 2 on and only 1 out to work out of the jam unscathed. I actually considered him for one of the three stars, but we will leave it with the HM! Harrison went 1-4 to extend his hitting streak to 10 games...also stole 2 bases that put the Bucs in position to score some runs.

Just wanted to add that Pedro hustled hard to score when he did, and made a great slide. Easily the 3 star, if not two.

The score would indicate that AJ deserves one, but I agree with the omission. He might deserve an HM.

I failed to mention about Pedro's hustle and slide. To me, it goes without saying, but maybe some were not aware.

I considered Burnett for a star or HM, but gave him a "good start" plus he got the win points. He only pitched about half the game, and while he did well, he had to be bailed out. But you're right...will add him as an HM.

Can't get to a 1-0 win without that.
