Ugly game today. I was gonna take my daughter, but she couldn't make it. Guess I should consider myself lucky. Listened a little. Watched a little on gameday. I hate when the game is not on TV. I got nothing positive to say.

STARTER: Morton....not bad. Not great. In between. 7 innings. Three runs. Why can't he strike anyone out any more?? Oh, well, bottom line, pitched well enough to win. Calling it an OK start.

LOSER: Inept offense again. Morton takes the loss.

GOAT: Few candidates. Cutch had a hit and RBI, but struck out with runners on 2nd and 3rd that would have tied the game...but he did drive in the only run. Walker 0-4 with 2 Ks and a killer DP. Barajas 0-4 with 2 K's and runner stranded. I think I am giving the goat to Walker today.

Star #3: With no offense to speak of, giving #3 to Grilli who struck out the only 3 batters he faced in the 8th inning, to keep us in the game.

Star # 2: Despite driving in the only run and going 1-4, Cutch only gets #2 star, as he struck out with runners on 2nd and 3rd, when a hit would have tied the game.

Star #1: Harrison gets it going for us again with a double and a run.

Honorable Mention: Considered a few things. Lincoln gets one for a scoreless 9th, keeping it at a 2 run game. Thought about Barmes for his 2 hit effort, but they were both meaningless singles, and he stranded 2 guys other times. I am giving Morton an HM for gutting out 7 innings, with only 3 runs. Should be good enough to win.

pickng 3 stars in this game is like picking 3 reasons why a root canal is fun...
-comfy dentist chair
-not having to work for an hour or so
-the visit will be less than 2 hours long

Good One! :D Your best analogy yet.

I think the third reason should be cute receptionist instead of visit is less than 2 hours though. Anyone agree?

my dentist is a 60 year old that has bad breath..I was thinking of the cute receptionist though, but I have yet to have that and that makes each trip to the dentist that much worse
