Every year I say to myself, no way can the Pirates ever be this boring again. Each year they trump the complete lack of excitement. We had a nice two month run last year but other than that...yuck.

Bryce Harper has a lot of work to do with his defense. I know. He's 19.

Wow! Clint Barmes strikes out again with a chance to drive in a run.

Unbelievable, huh?

I almost went to this game. Kind of glad I didn't. Maybe I will go tomorrow.

Josh Harrison hits the first home run off Gonzalez since last September. 54 straight innings.

Gee, Nate McLouth is doing an awfully good imitation of Matt Diaz.

The Barmes deal is the worst so far, but this signing is almost as bad except the Pirates can just cut him loose which they should consider if he doesn't pick it up over the next couple weeks. Nate is probably done.

Way to leave Meek in way too long, Clint.

Hurdle royally screwed up. Why would you leave Meek in the game? Three runs on one hit in the inning. Whether Meek was squeezed or not, an awful decision by Hurdle when you have Cruz ready to come in. That as the game on the line and they blew it.

Why was Meek sent down in the first place? Because he sucked. So you bring him back up and show some confidence in bringing him in a one run game. Fine. But when he walks two and hits a batter, it's time to win the game. I have not been this pissed off at Hurdle since he took over the job. BUT COME ON.

Meek is done. Time to face that fact. Should've kept him down. He hasn't been right since injury...

Yep, you have what 8 in the pen now? Unbelievable. Worst case scenario for Meek.
