Nice win. Was at my daughter's lacross game then Chorus Concert so I missed it all. Picking the stars strictly from the box score, so open to arguments!

STARTER: Bedard...obviously neither good nor bad....hope he is okay.

WP: Lincoln..3 innings of emergency relief, just 1 UNearned run, 4 Ks to get the win.

Holds: Cruz and Grilli

Save: Hanrahan

Star #3: Giving it to Hughes for 2 innings of scoreless relief in a close ballgame....and 4 Ks. Why doesn't he get a hold on that? Anybody know for sure?? Does it have to be beyond a certain inning? I am too lazy to look it up.

Star #2: Lincoln. 3 innings of emergency relief. I think it's time to find him a spot in the rotation! In addition, he runs out a third strike, gets on first, and starts our big rally.

Star #1: Cutch... 4-4 with HR, adding some insurance, scored 2 runs and 2 RBI.

Honorable Mention: Tabata with at hit and a run. Walker with a hit and an RBI. McGeehee with a hit and an RBI..all in clutch situations!

So how long do you all think it will take for Hurdle to insert Lincoln in the rotation? Correia's not long for this world as a starter, and Karstens's fragility and lack of stamina will likely limit his usefulness.

Presley should get a star from almost getting Harper to break his wrist.

You missed Cutch scoring from 2nd on an infield single to ss. There was a 3-2 count with 2 outs so they were running on the pitch Desmond went in the hole, fielded it cleanly but had no play at first. It was funny to watch, he couldn't believe Cutch was trying to score and actually the play wasn't real close. Amazing speed.

that was hilarious. The SS ran at Cutch..."haha...I have you in a rundown now..."as they did with Walker earlier... ran towards Cutch and faked a throw. Cutch was already halfway home by the time he realized it was too late.

I think I recall a time that Bobby Bonilla scored from second base on a very deep SF.

That must have been fun to watch.

Was it one of those cases where the ball landed in the RF corner and then caromed along the base of the wall all the way to CF . . . as LaValliere chugged his way around the bases?
