This is some horrible home plate umpiring tonight...both ways. I don't think any of these guys know what the "moving" strike zone is from one at bat to the next...

Is this the "I give up" lineup?

I think we should give up more often...

RAISE IT!

We go into Atlanta to play a Braves team that is 12-7 and 5-1 at home and split the series.

THAT is a great series for this team.

One of the best things about this game (from my Southern vantage point anyway). The game was televised on SportSouth (rare chance for me to watch the Bucs). The homer Braves guys were pounding the theme prior to the game "Wrapping Up a Good April". And what do the Braves do? They wrap up April...by giving up NINE runs... to the PIRATES!!!

I didn't realize we were facing a lefty. I was cursing Hurdle when Pedro hit into the double play, but he looked pretty smart after Pedro and Navarro both homered.

Umpiring was bad, and opposite of what you normally see - strikes were being called balls.

Nasty hook from JMac last night. He had their knees buckling. Maybe he is going to take the step forward that I thought he could.
