Looked like Presley's first few steps were choppy and slow in the watered down infield. He caught a lot of dirt in those steps and was out by a good 3-4 feet.

Best way to help a struggling offense is to be aggressive on the basepaths, right?

It was described like he was running in quicksand and that was a perfect analogy. I can't figure out why he was spinning his wheels. Strange.

8 in a row then walk the pitcher, ugh.

What year was it when it seemed like we walked the P every other game, 2009?

According to Game Day, Alvarez's fly out in the 4th landed in the bleachers. Did the left fielder make a leaping catch at the fence or is the graphic wrong?

Nope, just shy of the warning track.

BTW, according to Gameday, the walk to the pitcher mentioned above was a strikeout by placement.

Thanks, IA. Still nice to see him going deep the other way, I guess.

Maybe Gameday is off kilter. I see strikes as balls in many cases. Fly ball outs in the seats... <shrug>

Shame on the crowd at PNC Park. There should have been a damn loud ovation for McDonald. They panned the crowd and hardly anyone was standing and clapping. That looked terrible.

I saw plenty of people clapping and it sounded pretty loud to me. Whether they're standing or sitting makes no difference to me.
