Hurdle did this in Game #2 against Lee as well. He must be going on gut feeling.

Makes sense to me. One, you achieve lefty-righty balance. Two, Presley, being a lefty, can better take advantage of the hole in the right side of the infield if/when Tabata gets on base.

Kershaw's nasty, but he's coming off a bad bout of the flu. Here's hoping he's still a bit off.

Correia was very good on the road last year, lets hope it continues.

Edit - just looked at their lineup, its Kemp, Ethier and a pile of crap, go get'em!

Lead-off triple, no runs scored. Is it going to be that kind of game?

Clayton Kershaw's changeup absolutely owned Hague and Walker.

Gameday identifies it as a slider. Is that not accurate?

Both pitches broke down with little lateral movement. Both pitches registered 84 mph. They looked like changeups to my untrained eye.

It was a frustrating inning because the Pirates kept fouling themselves into pitcher's counts for Kershaw after the triple.

Also, two brilliant defensive plays by Walker in that inning - first to catch the foul over the seats that Hague lost in the sun and then taking away the RBI to end the inning.

Clint Barmes cannot hit. He better play AWESOME defense all year. Alternatively, Hurdle should give Navarro some looks every so often.

Interesting that he wouldn't start Alvarez after a game in which he hit a HR. Kershaw?

Dodgers announcers identified the Walker pitch as a backdoor slider.

Great job by Correia thus far. Excellent work staying down in the zone and inducing ground outs.
