I feel like we should be in good shape tonight with Morton going and an average guy for them. BUT usually when I get that feeling, I'm let down and we screw up. Let's hope we're on top of our game tonight.

GO BUCS.

We gotta break out of the impending doom vibe. I get it too. Maybe this will help.

I don't know sub, Bud Norris is probably a better pitcher than anyone we have. He has 18K in 14IP in his two starts against us this year. Although, last time we did beat him 1-0 behind a gem from Karstens and the first time we saw him we got 3 runs in one big inning backed by Charlie dominating. Lets make it 3-0 versus Mr. Norris.

Agreed. Norris is pretty good. His slider is one of the best I have seen this season.

Fortunately, he is right-handed so Presley, Walker, and Jones benefit from that.

Poor hit or more poor baserunning from Jones?

That's on Jones. It was a line drive to left, I'm not sure why he went directly to Carl Lewis mode. He was thrown out by a good 20 feet.

Its Carlos Lee for chrissakes. I know I'm running on a line drive to left with Carlos "lumber'n" Lee out there.

Close game with a tough Houston pitcher (Norris) ZM....I think Jones blew that one....he should have stayed closer to 2B.

Well, they start out near the top of the order. Good opportunity to get a few runs back.

Let's go Bucs!

Off the top of my head, series in which the Pirates took the first 2 but could not complete the sweep ...

Tigers, Cubs, Phillies, Diamondbacks, Red Sox, possibly Astros.
