Pedroia has paced about two miles in the dugout. He isn't to keen on McDonald busting him inside! Atta baby Mac!

Now they're setting up a scenario in which the Red Sox could retaliate against McDonald for -- ah -- dusting Dustin each time he has been up. If looks could kill, Pedroia would be charged with homocide. He's upset. Don't like him, but I can't blame him.

A little too close for comfort there.

We haven't seen much of that type of base running this year. Nice coaching there (sarcasm).

Could the Sox defense be any worse in than it's been in this series? Even guys who are usually pretty good like Youk/Pedroia aren't coming up with plays they usually make.

That was a rocket Cutch hit, but I'd think a good third baseman makes that play a good percentage of the time.

Way to kill the f'ing rally Jones/coach.

Still better than Beasley. He was having one of those a series the last couple of years.

Nice bunt. Better hustle.

I really like what I have seen from D'Arnau this series.

Only slightly worse than giving up a lead-off BB the inning after taking a 1-run lead.

Should be over 100 pitches after this inning. I imagine the pullpen will be taking it over the rest of the way.

A good day from McDonald, for the most part, compared to his recent starts. 6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K

I'll take it. Maybe there will be an Animal Star in his future?

Actually it is 0 earned runs which is one of my big issues with how stats are compiled. If the pitcher commits the error that allows the run the run should still get charged against the pitcher IMO.

MLB.com box score has it as 1 ER.

Edit: Well, they must have just changed it. 0 ER it is for McDonald.

I like d'Arnaud's hustle for sure.

Man, listening to this on TV Bob was FURIOUS about Miller throwing at Fryer. That was really funny.

True though, it's not like Pedroia got hit. He notoriously stands all over the plate, it's not like JMac is the first guy to go up and in on him.

I definately know where you are coming from and understand your argument....but regardless of who makes the error, it is still "unearned" as per the rules. You could say it was the pitchers FAULT it was unearned but still unearned nonetheless.

Throwing inside is part of the game. People get way too upset about inside pitches that never hit anyone. I was personally a little turned off the ump would warn the benches over a pitch thrown at the batters feet. We are getting way too soft here.

Pedroia is the last guy who should be barking. MCDonald was effectively wild, not throwing at anyone. :o :o :o :o
