If you aren't up for this one, you aren't a Pirate fan. We've been waiting (sometimes impatiently) to see some sign of better days. Finally there seems to be light at the other end of the tunnel and it ain't a train coming at us.

Tabata laid down a perfect bunt down the 3rd base line. He beat out the throw but came up lame and crumpled to the ground. He laid there for a minute, tried to get up, and they called the stretcher/cart. Doesn't look good. Not sure if it's a knee, hip, quad, etc.

Watching Red Sox feed is highly instructive. I just learned that James McDonald and Darnell McDonald are cousins.

Well, they have mentioned it about a dozen times too on the Pittsburgh broadcast.

And they are calling Tabata's injury a quad injury. Oh my! Re-evaluation tomorrow.

Ah, OK. Did they tell the story of the fan who desperately had to get to the men's room after last night's game and stadium security wouldn't let him go to the head of the line? (Even though his girlfriend was screaming at them.) That was entertaining. Jerry Remy (color guy) said she almost blew out his eardrum.

Now THAT sounds like an emergency. More appropriately, they should have escorted him to the LADIES ROOM!

THE SOX RUN...

D'Arneau could have just as likely gotten the error as Cutch. The throw was horrible but the runner was getting third anyway. Chase got his glove on it, and really should have had it. Bucs need to get that one back....plus a couple more

I agree Animal. I think the error should go to d'Arnaud.

Can't say enough about Cedeno's D right now

Seems like the more Cedeno's job is threatened, the more focused he becomes and the better he seems to play. I guess that helps the Buccos. If he were still playing like he was at the start of the season, they wouldn't get anything for him if they wanted to trade and make d'Arnaud the starting SS.

You know, it's not the popular opinion around these parts, but I keep playing Cedeno no matter what. Yeah, he is a head case and seems to lose concentration. They need to keep on him about that, and when it happens sit him down like Hurdle has done. But for this team, winning with the good pitching and defense, Cedeno's top notch D at SS is needed.
