It's amusing, watching the Red Sox TV feed. Their broadcasters are pronouncing Tabata "TABBA-tah" and Maholm "Ma-HOLM." Meanwhile, they say the Pirate pitching and defense this year have been "decent." And they're moaning about how high and far from the field their broadcast booth is.

I already see this game. Lester wil no-hit us for 5. We will end up with two hits and lose 3-0

You made me switch to the Red Sox broadcast just to check it out. BRUTAL! They are also butchering d'Arnaud. Twice they've made mention at how high the pressbox is.

It would be nice if the home plate ump would stop squeezing Maholm.

That Cedeno at-bat was painful. He needs to put the ball to the OF, get the run home.

Goddamn the hitting.

Damn this effing, weak-ass hitting.

You're right, but he did make it a 12-pitch at-bat. At least it wasn't three swings and misses.

Yes, true, but the at-bat became a series of defensive swings after he hacked at the first pitch, a fastball at eye level.

If he takes the effing pitch, like he should, he is sitting 1-0 and in a much, MUCH better hitting situation.

Nope, not Ronny. SWING AWAY, RONNY, SWING AWAY!!

I have a lip reader sitting next to me and he said Ray Searge just asked Paulie Walnutz if he was a pus%^?

94 pitches in 5 innings. Yikes!

Congratulations to Chase on this first major league hit. Too bad he couldn't have gotten it an at-bat earlier. ;)

Good for D'Arnaud. Getting your first hit against Lester. First of many, I hope.

And he crushed the pitch.

My 8 year old just asked me why the Pirates can't get runners past 3b. I lied and told him it's because we don't want to show-up the Red Sox.
