BeerTemple is reporting that Cedeno is benched today. Clint was not happy with the bunt that Cedeno attempted last night with the bases loaded.

That wasn't the first time Ronny has attempted something so stupid. I can't remember when, but I know he's attempted bunts with the bases loaded previously.

I believe he has attempted two safety squeezes with runners on the corners this year. The first was in Cincinnati (I was at the game) and Jones was called out at home but he was safe ... he was called out simply because the throw beat him, but he beat the tag. The other time it worked. Problem is that the scoring run never seems to know it's coming and gets a late start.

I think the AL pitchers have more hits against us than our pitchers have the whole season.

Didn't he bounce into a double play after his foul bunt attempt with the bases loaded? He just doesn't have it between the ears. I think they call that "six inches from success."

Not Correia's day...again. His last four starts have been shaky. Hope he isn't regressing.

I guess Kevin Correia doesn't like PNC Park.

So much for him being the "ace" of the pitching staff.

Nice break for the Bucs after Tabata screws the pooch. Feel bad for the kid at second. His first MLB start. But hey, I feel more sorry for us.

:)

Why does Britton throw anything other than a cutter in the dirt? Pirate hitters swing at that pitch every time, with predictable results.

And he STILL may pick up his 9th W. That's what a functioning offense can do for you.

He had a good start against the Mets. Took a shutout into the 7th. The Pirates just scored 0 runs that day.

His last start against the Indians was also pretty good, 1 ER, but the offense again didn't do anything. Moskos was the one who blew that game.
