Overbay is sitting out this entire series. Kind of surprising as I thought they would stick with him despite his struggles. The series against the Tribe is the worst I've seen Overbay play so far this year.

I'm not expecting much. Charlie better pitch a shutout.

It's starting to happen. The pitching is starting to fall apart and it's because of the lack of offense that's dragging it down.

It's already 2-0 Orioles in the top of the 1st. I would venture to say this game is done. The Pirates coming back and winning this game with this offense?

What does 5-0 do for you Bassoonman?
I can't imagime us winning this one. Going to let it stay and turn the vol. low while I read. Suggest something similar for all.

BTW- started Playing for Pizza by gresham todaqy. Fun read about a football player.

Well, I'm going to have a (semi) productive night. Good night Bucco fans!

Way to go Morton! From "Ground Chuck" to "upchuck." We'll be lucky to see the Pirates get five god damn hits let alone five runs right now.

Ouch. Looks like it'll be an early night for me.

I thought we might be able to take one game from Baltimore but this team can just flat out rake the ball.

Who wouldn't expect this team to be better in a division with the likes of Boston, New York and Tampa Bay. Oh, and Toronto isn't to shabby. Gotta keep up right?

One or two wins might be asking a bit much from here until the end of the month. Were closing it out against the best division in baseball from the American League, prehaps, both leagues.

This has the potential to be the beginning of a downward spiral. I don't think we'll see our Buccos at or above .500 for the rest of this season.

Unless I misunderstood...during the pregame, Hurdle was giving his reasons for sitting Overbay and I thought Hurdle said he'd be sitting Overbay for the entire three game set.
