What a fucken joke of an AB for Jones and Overbay. This offense is beyond pitiful. It makes me fucken sick watching these guys swing and miss all the time.

Wood and Walker our best batsmen tonight by far. Then McCutch.

This is 2 games in a row where I dont agree with Hurdle taking a starting pitcher out.

What is with the piss poor at bats with runners in scoring position? Walker looked like Overbay and Jones there. Absolutely pathetic effort once again with runners in scoring position.

The pitching staff deserves a HUGE round of applause. The hitting is giving them nothing. It is darn tough as a pitcher to know that one mistake is going to lose the game, and yet the starters continue to deal zeroes.

The hitting needs to freaking improve. Not just the return of Doumit and Alvarez - Jones, Overbay, Cedeno need to do their part.

Always feels great to win in Houston...used to live in Texas, so I remember quite a few sweeps there. The 14-1 loss (complete with Roy Oswalt 2nd-inning homer) from August 2006 still stings.

This .500 stuff is almost getting boring, no? Now how about putting together a nice winning streak -- say, 10 games -- to push the record comfortably above .500 and make it really exciting.

If my quick research is correct, this is the deepest into the season the Bucs have been at .500 since June 22, 1999 -- the year of the third-place finish in the Central Division.

And they're doing it almost without an offense.

Wow, my over/under on that was ten hits in fifteen games. I bet the under! :D

Yep. Being almost relevant is fun. :D

Sadly the Dodgers bats are not earning the paychecks that they are not receiving.
