At least we get to see what Harrison can do. I'd rather see him in the lineup than Wood. And I never was thrilled with Jones batting 2nd. Brown behind the plate tonight makes sense too. No need in wearing out Snyder. I think Snyder's offensive productivity (what little there is) suffers when he plays lots of games in a row.

I wonder many runs can the Pirates score tonight? Hopefully one more run than the Mets. :?

Can any of the Buccos hit a knuckleball though? RA Dickey is on the mound and he is a knuckleball hurler.

Should be fun tonight, MLB debut for "Freddy Sanchez lite" Josh Harrison and "Crash Davis" Dusty Brown. Dickey has not been very effective with that knuckler this year, maybe a nice breakout with the bats is in order?

Mets lineup -
1. Pagan 8
2. Turner 4
3. Beltran 9
4. Bay 7
5. Murphy 5
6. Evans 3
7. Thole 2
8. Tejada 6
9. Dickey 1

Oops I stand corrected, Brown has 15 ab's over the last two seasons, so just his Pirate debut.

Conversation I just had with a Mets fan, who was worried about their pitching over the rest of the series....

Me: Yeah, but you're getting our B lineup tonight.

Him: Why? What's the matter with your A lineup?

Me: They haven't been drafted yet.

In conclusion: Start hitting the ball you jack wagons.

Man...Harrison gets his first MLB at bat in the first inning in New York.

No nerves there. :)

I started drinking already because I have a feeling it might be a frustrating night with a lot of swing and misses over an 80 mph fastball.

Dickey gives up his share of hits and base runners. It takes the knuckle ball a while to get to home plate - Tabata, Harrison and McCutchen need to run.

I predict no patience at the plate again. I predict the Pirates will be out in front swinging and missing or swinging and missing at balls in the dirt all night long, while standing there and taking perfectly hittable pitches for strikes.

Sounds like a normal Pirate offense doesn't it?

A Cutch needs to make contact in the 1st. G Jones is just struggling at the plate right now. Im a big Jones fan, but give Diaz some at bats so Jones can get out of this funk. Already frustrated and on beer 5

If A Cutch comes up the next time with Dickey still pitching, please pinch hit for him. He doesnt have a clue tonight where the ball is going.

I started a personal drinking game this year when watching the Pirates. Have to slam a beer or do a shot with every strike out. It's the end of May and my liver is toast and I'm meeting Charlie Sheen in rehab.
