Snyder just showed again why I would go with him over Doumit.

He's only been back from injury for what...a month? Hitting .275, 3 HR's and 13 RBI. That's solid production and a good glove and throwing arm. He should be with us until Sanchez is ready, in my opinion.

I said the same thing. I see nothing wrong with Snyder, he also caught someone stealing the other day, which is something Doumit never does. Doumit is probably better with the bat, but I don't think he's ultimately better than Snyder. If Doumit is more appealing in a trade than Snyder, you should be able to do it and not suffer.

While Snyder got totally served up on that HR, it's still more than anyone else in this offense is doing. Throw a change belt high down the middle on the rest of our lineup and they probably foul it off, sad to say.

I wish Hurdle would have started Josh Harrison at 3B tonight instead of Wood.

Ok...is it too late for me to retract my statement? :D

Snyder has two passed balls this inning. Looks like he and Charlie are crossed up on the signals.

I can't watch the Pirates right now. Morton fans a guy, clips off Snyder's glove, to the backstop, run scores.

I don't get paid to suffer through this shit.

Now Gee just K's the side effortlessly. Garrett Jones has seen so many hittable pitches tonight and still is yet to make contact.

We're making Dillon Gee and his 90 MPH fastball look like Nolan Ryan.

Morton is going to have to be flawless the rest of the way. And hope Snyder can single-handedly homer this team to a win.

This team's inability to put the bat on the ball is maddening. I'd rather see weak groundouts than watching them whiff at eminently hittable pitches.

Poor Charlie. That's two hits that are just weak groundballs to second. The 7 hits looks so much worse than it's actually been.

Well, at least they made some contact that inning.

I've seen all I need to see of Brandon Wood. Don't blame them for taking a flyer on the guy but it's time for him to go. Freaking Alvarez . . . .

Can Charlie get any more unlucky? He has given up 8 hits and I am not sure if one was solidly hit.

At least with Pedro there's the odd chance he connects and sends the ball out of the park. With Wood, there's not even that.

Wow, the Mets are sure getting bleeders through the infield. Yuck. Today just doesn't feel like one of those days where the Pirates get the breaks.

I know he won't get one but Cedeno should be charged with an error. Morton is just getting screwed today.

Ronny trying to make SportsCenter again. The run is going to score, but you can easily get the out at second. Another Cedeno brain fart.

Plus Pedro was slowly coming on too. He was showing the signs of a turnaround, and then he has to go down, ugh.

This game has been so amazingly frustrating to watch. Every hit is a weak roller past our defense. Why are we so constantly out of position? Is that really just bad luck, or bad defense?

I'm much more disappointed in the offense than the pitching or D though. Gee has been serving them up all night and they can't even make contact. Three hits against a guy with not so great stuff, who is pounding the strike zone. It's painful to watch.
