Boy is that some kind of ugly. The net says that the chance of T-storms is 60% for the next two hours and 40% thereaftere. Look's like we are close to packing it in and going to NY this afternoon with a sweep of the Cubbies.
Hope we play cause we have old mo with us and I've planned my day to see it, while yesterday it was hit and miss. Normal for me.

Doesn't look good. I look forward to the days of rain resistant "dirt" :D

Just starting to storm. Hopefully it passes in an hour.

Judging by the radar, a 2 hour delay would probably have them in the clear.

Wow Cedeno's at bat in the 9th was terrible. Wood's was also close to as bad.
The Pirate's would be competitive if they would stop throwing complete garbage out there, and get some good complementary players.

Well, that was insightful.

What would be your plan?

I hate to see this one slip away, but I'm not going to worry/complain too much.

Thus far the Bucs have responded to tough losses/losing stretches, are still .500 for May and compete nearly every game.

Having been 'road warriors' thus far and only three games under .500, I'm confident the Bucs can take it to the Mets.

The Mets are 4-6 in their last 10, 13-12 in May, 11-14 at home for the year and just 5-9 in one-run games.

I know the bats haven't been there often, but I see three out of four favorable opposing pitchers before facing Hamels and Doc at home:

Dee (4-0, 3.83), Dickey (2-5, 4.5) , Capuano (3-5, 4.94) and Pelfrey (3-4, 5.00)

Lets take the first two to finish May two games over!

GO BUCS!

Quit running out Wood completely and give a guy like Josh Harrison a chance in the majors with Alvarez out.
Look for alternatives to Cedeno through trade, or maybe give Chase d'Arnaud a chance when he gets healthy.

Are you really ok with 1/3 of our lineup hardly contributing anything and giving the other team 3 very easy outs?

Cedeno has the third highest OPS on the team for May (Cutch .901, Doumit .865, Cedeno .791). Before last night, he had gone 35 games without an error. We should definitely bench him.
