I really hope the offense doesn't take a dump today just because Maholm's pitching. That man deserves a win!

After looking at the lineups Leyland has put out there the past few days, does he have an exemption and has a 30 man Major League Roster while everyone else is at 25?

He definitely gets his bench involved...

Maholm just doesnt have it today. He is getting behind in the count to every batter.

This just feels like a typical Maholm start. He really needs to grind to get through.

And the Pirates bats are silent. :x

Really? 2 runs in 6 innings? I'll take it every time.

The Pirates are Porcello's favorite team to mow down.

Yeah it was a rough outing for Paulie as he really was getting behind against almost every batter, but lots of credit to him for fighting through it and putting up a pretty nice line without his best stuff. He gave us a very good chance to win.

I'm a firm believer that it's about the end result more sothan how you got there. Doesn't matter how many walks our how far he got behind in the counts. He held them to 2 runs, anytime a pitches does that we should win the game. IMO he had everything he needed today except for run support; as usual.
