Don't start walking people Charlie with a three-run lead.

Nice to see Pedro put a good swing on a good pitch to hit and ride it out of the park for a home run.

Bench Overbay tomorrow for not hustling on that ball. there is no excuse on why he should have not been at 3rd base. Im 240 pounds and I could have been standing on 3rd.

CHARLIE MORTON -- that's what I'm talk'en 'bout. WOW -- that's what they meant last season when they kept saying that he has great stuff as he continued to get pounded.

Ground f'in Chuck. Ladies and gentlemen, your Pirates' representative at the 2011 All Star Game . . . .

It'd be tough to leave off Hanrahan too. Morton and Hammer have been amazing this season.

Watched the first 7 innings at work. Charlie was Charlie ... which is now absolutely great news. Give up a walk or a single? So freaking what. Ground ball, double play, NEXT BATTER!!

As soon as Alvarez hit the ball, I thought, "This game belongs to the Pirates." The McCutchen HR removed any doubt.

Morton is a joy to watch nowadays. This game showed why Earl Weaver had it right - a 3-run home run and good pitching = wins.

Just watched the video post-game interview with Morton on DK's blog and he indicated he's still improving as he figures out with Searage how to best use his pitches with the new arm angle. He's also still learning a new cutter. It's hard not to get giddy about where he might be headed. 8-) 8-) 8-)
