That is not big-league hitting. These guys need to figure it out tomorrow night. They can still break even in this series before heading back on the road.

Paul Maholm should kick this entire, pathetic line-up in the balls.

Animal was debating giving him goat of the game. Why, because he gave up A @#$%$#@ RUN???

Yeah, that's right, one run against this miserable line-up = loss.

McCutcheon needs benched tomorrow for that at bat in the 8th. Hurdle needs to do this to show the team that if you dont want to hustle, then ride the pine. Animal, heres a suggestion. Give no stars tonight and give each starter a -1.

I thought about it, but I try to take SOMETHING positive out of every game!

That was absolutely pathetic. And the sad part is that we're due to see more of these performances until this team "gets it".

To borrow a tired cliché, Alvarez is starting to center the ball better. He's going to strike out, a lot, doesn't make sense to hold that against him, it's what he does when he doesn't strike out that will make or break.

Was at the game and before the first pitch my buddy said we'll miss Walker.

Later in the game I sat back, pondered the pathetic line-up, and in a moment of clarity (rare for me anymore) thought, "What does it say for this team that Chris $#@% Snyder is batting fifth?". I'd rather have Snyder from "One Day at a Time" in that spot. Pedro MUST reclaim some semblance of 2010 if this team is going to make forward strides.

Cutches AB in the 9th was Ronnie Cedeno like. Actually that may be an insult to Cedeno.

Wood is a bench player. Not a starter.

Wood + Cedeno + Pitcher = 3 easy outs.

Maholm pitched a whale of a game, sixth inning be damned. I don't know if you include IBBs in WHIP, but I'm not.......Paul posted a 3.00 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP over six innings. You cannot expect anything more from a starter.

The bullpen did its job.

XPaul is a little dude.

Overpay is killing us in the 4th spot. Pedro MUST reclaim some semblance of 2010 if this team is going to make forward strides.

When the 1-3 hitters get on base a paltry 2 out of 12 plate appearances, runs will be tough to come by.

I would have PH Doumit for Snyder in the 6th. Runs were at a premium and Snyder looked foolish all night.

I got my wish in the 7th and was rewarded with a Doumit strikeout. What do I know?

Doumit should start.

Cutch got booed robustly (is that an improper use of an adverb considering only 12k were in attendance?) after his at bat.

Didn't look like 12k to me, more like less than 10k.

Our pythagorean is a robust 16-21.
