So according to wikipedia Vin Scully is only calling Dodgers home games and in-division road games. Can anyone confirm this? I don't know if I can handle half an inning of Vin Scully tonight, much less nine...

Yes, they were discussing this on HOuston sports talk today. Vin only does LA and Cali games (SD and SF, plus AA and OA games in IL play)!

It was close, but it was a double. If the fan catches the ball, then it would have been tough to overturn the homerun. Dumb fan couldnt catch the ball with a stinking glove.

Gamecast says Pedro lined out in the second. Can I get my hopes up?

It was a nice diving play by the 1st baseman.

Pedro hit it hard, but also fouled off a fastball right down the middle. Jeff Karstens is a right handed Zach Duke meaning he allows more hits than innings pitched. Aaron Miles is terrible and he already has 2 hits off of Karstens. And also, Dan Potash is WAY better than Lacee Collins. Welcome back Dan!

Matt Kemp crushed that ball. Great play by McCutcheon and great relay throw to Walker. What is Miles even thinking there?

Lacee is barely coherent. I thought it was nerves the first few games, but it hasn't changed.

What a weak attempt at a bunt by Karstens. He is my goat so far.

Does McCutchen fly out every at bat or is it just the times I've seen him this year? Someone needs to have the Willie Mays Hays speech with him.

Some 2 out lightning. Clutch hit by Jones! Karstens needs to put up a zero here in the top of the 4th.

How do you get two quick outs and then cant get another out in the next 2 batters? Guess he emptied the tank against Ethier and Kemp. Right now, I dont have a good feeling with Crotta coming in.

A win here, in a grind-it-out type game, would go a loooooong ways in revitalizing the fan base...

Tabata, too. Did you know his BA after the first game of the series at Cincinnati (April 15) was .354? Since then, if my math is accurate, he is only 5-for-45 and is now batting .227. That's virtually no production out of the top of the lineup anymore. Coupled with the void at 3B, it's a wonder the Bucs score any runs.

Theres a void at first base too. Overbay brings absolutely nothing with his bat. I thought LaRoche was bad with the bat, but his bat is by far better than Overbay's. I think Pearce should get more starts. I liked the way he played on Sunday. Also, Doumit is swinging a good bat right now. Have Snyder catch tomorrow and put Doumit in right field or 1st base.
