Billingsley can pitch. So the Bucs better bring their bats tonight.

I like seeing Doumit out there. Good "attaboy" for yesterday, and we know Snyder will get the nod against the lefty Lilly tomorrow night (despite the fact that Doumit crushed his 8th innning winner against a lefty).

Here's hoping Alvarez's slump disappeared after a few days off. The Pirates could use something from him.

In a better world, the Dodgers would forfeit all games in the series to the Bucs since they can't make payroll.

In reality, I say: payroll woes or no payroll woes, BEAT THE BLUE!

I hope it's a 1-0 game with the Pirates winning, Tabata gets on base twice, steals a base, and scores the run or drives it in. Also Billingsley gets 10 K's and keeps his WHIP low...

Go Pirates, but just not too much til tomorrow.

I sense a conflict of interest here...

To add to this, I hope the Bucs win big, with Walker and Alvarez powering the offense, but Juan Uribe goes 4-4 with two home runs and a steal in the loss.

Now, now. I rooted for the Pirates against Bud Norris.

Not too much, mind you, and the 3 runs, 9 K's were good, but I mean, my loyalty overrides my personal interests. :D

P.S.

Which means I am rooting for 27 hits and 24 runs. Because of their depleted pen, the Dodgers have to let Billingsley take the beating, for the "good of the team."

Their team, not yours.

I will never...ever, ever, ever...cheer against the Pirates in any way. I will always hope the Pirates can score as many runs as possible. I'd love to see the Pirates put up a 10-spot on the Dodgers tonight.

P.S. I'm going against Billingsley in my head to head league and I have both McCutchen and Alvarez.

You guys should be ASHAMED of yourselves.

Me? I am wholeheartedly rooting for Garrett Jones to go 5-5 with 3 HR's. And a couple of stolen bases. Not for my benefit, mind you, but because I am a Pirates fan.

So there.

So according to wikipedia Vin Scully is only calling Dodgers home games and in-division road games. Can anyone confirm this? I don't know if I can handle half an inning of Vin Scully tonight, much less nine...

Yes, they were discussing this on HOuston sports talk today. Vin only does LA and Cali games (SD and SF, plus AA and OA games in IL play)!

It was close, but it was a double. If the fan catches the ball, then it would have been tough to overturn the homerun. Dumb fan couldnt catch the ball with a stinking glove.

Gamecast says Pedro lined out in the second. Can I get my hopes up?

It was a nice diving play by the 1st baseman.

Pedro hit it hard, but also fouled off a fastball right down the middle. Jeff Karstens is a right handed Zach Duke meaning he allows more hits than innings pitched. Aaron Miles is terrible and he already has 2 hits off of Karstens. And also, Dan Potash is WAY better than Lacee Collins. Welcome back Dan!

Matt Kemp crushed that ball. Great play by McCutcheon and great relay throw to Walker. What is Miles even thinking there?
