Wandy usually does very well against the Bucs. If he continues his success, look for about 8 strike outs and less than 10 hits. Also, it looks like he's actually walking less this year but giving up more hits so we'll need to go after him, not sit back and dick around.

Maholm has to keep Houston's score low.

I'm feeling a big day for Matt "lefty thumper" Diaz tonight. I see his first jack as a Bucco coming up...

Wandy (I hate that name) has always given the Pirates problems (it seems that way anyways). He probably qualifies to be in the STBHOF. At least from the Pirates perspective.

Let's hope the "new" Bucs can beat this guy tonight and make his life miserable!

If I were Hurdle, I'd say, "Damn the percentages!" and put Pedro in there instead of Wood. I've got a feeling about Pedro and this homestand.

Rodriguez is a pretty good pitcher, bassoon. He does not qualify for the STBHOF, I believe, because he has been successful for a number of seasons. He posts good ERA, K totals, etc.

Your right Bucfan. He is a good pitcher. Maybe it's the name? How can anyone with a name like Wandy be any good?

If he pitched a Petco, he'd be a 15 game winner every year.

Alvarez not playing tonight. Wood taking his spot.
Can't believe Overbay is playing. He blows against lefties. I thought for sure we'd of seen Pearce
Matt Diaz batting third. Guess that's what happens when Pedro sh!ts the bed.

Might as well let Pedro get healthier and sit him against a tough lefty.

As for Overbay over Pearce, I think Hurdle wants to have a righty available on the bench. That said, I would have rather seen Garrett Jones at first base. He's more likely to hurt the ball.

My concern is scoring early, I don't think Overbay helps in that regard, actually I think he hurts.......immensely. So what good is a RHPH in the 8th when we're losing 4-1?

Of course now that I've said that, Overbay will have a big night, and you'll thank me later!

Can we give Diaz the goat already after the 1st inning? Grounds into a DP and looks awful catching a flyball once again

This game has a bad feel to it.

Paul "the new BP" Maholm is pitching. He makes baseball look like work.

I hate Diaz. 2 Ab's lead to him seeing only 2 pitches

The radio guys said Overbay is a .400 hitter against Rodriguez, a few pitches later he hit a double and scored on Woods' double...
