Can the Pirates get back to .500 tonight and beat the hated Brew Crew?

Does Senator Jon Kyl throw babies at the elderly? (#NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement)

The answer to both questions is "yes."

It's warm enough in Pittsburgh to wear a T-shirt and shorts to a night game? I'm envious.

How many games will the Pirates play at home this season and come to bat already losing? Seriously?

This sucks...

Diaz's defense scares the crap out of me.

This team's offense is beyond pathetic right now. Say what you will about one run strategies; it would "feel" much differently right now if the offense didn't blow an early golden scoring opportunity.

Well, at least it won't be a no-hitter.

games like this really bring you down. What? 12 Ks in8-- maholm's 7 good innings going to waste. After the first he was tuff tonight.

Was just about to post this myself.

Now I'm starting to get mad. 20+ scoreless innings, wasting good pitching performances, K'ing far too much, leaving runners on...

I know this team is young and inexperienced, but they're better than this and/or their 5-7 record indicates.

Someone needs to step up in the clubhouse and light a fire or something.

Does that count as scoring a run???

Fitting that the game ends on a K.

We're better than this.

Wait -- doesn't everyone score by getting 2 walks and a wild pitch?

This is hilarious. First run in 24 innings and it scores on a wild pitch.

I did a little fast research: Beginning with the bottom of the 5th on Sunday vs. Colorado, our heroes have had 9 walks, 7 singles, and a double. That's it for offense. Oh, and 25 strikeouts. And one runner picked off.

And the double REALLY should have been ruled an error on Braun!

Cardinals currently are beating the Dodgers. If that holds, hello 5th place, 1-1/2 games ahead of Houston. Bucs could be in the cellar by Sunday.
