Nice to see Alvarez get his first hit but I'm starting to worry..

Russell Branyan looked terrible all night but Karstens helped him out.. gopher ball served on a platter.. 5-4 Bucs..

Another starting pitcher can't give us a quality start. I know, he pitched good for 5 innings. The bottom line is the total performance is not good.

At least he left the game with the lead. A step in the right direction.

That's because we actually scored some runs. You have to separate the two.

Laroche pinch hitting? With a right hander pitching. Why not DY? Or Church? Any lefty. I don't get it.

There is absolutely no way in hell that Milledge regularly rides the bench after tonight.

Good game. I walked over to some of the drinking establishments to watch the last couple of innings.. one sports bar didn't have
the Indians on any of their ten giant TVs. Kids today like that UFC crap. Did see a lot of sexy girls on the way.. I swear every
woman is a hooker and the young men are all a$$holes.

I do not get drinking at all. Never been tempted to do it (that's why I have no friends.) Will take in the Bucs tomorrow at one of
these joints..

You're not alone. I don't imbibe either . . . well, at least not alcohol.

Don't doubt the genius of Russell.

Drinking is pretty fun, as long as you know your limits and don't hurt anybody. I do totally agree about the young men being total jerks. Don't know how they got that way, or am I just forgetting what it's like to be young?

Thank goodness Bucs won, now we can try to take the series tomorrow!

As a guy who has been a beer drinker for 45 years, let me tell you that as years pass by the body rejects what I call tavern behavior. It becomes not worth tomorrow morning and so I have limited the number of times I'm willing to participate. Plese note that I have limited not eliminated those times.

But I gotta say that staying home is not a fun option. That's part reason the Pirates have become more important to me.

I hear you...I've been drinking ten years (legally) and the hangovers get worse and worse. You go out and have a couple too many, and the whole next day is wasted laying around, trying to get over your headache.

I don't blame anyone for not drinking, but I am at the point where I really enjoy good beer, wine, and liquor. Sometimes it's a fine line between enjoyment and over-doing it.
