Judas Priest!! Getting dominated by Homer Bailey!! He sure is pounding the strike zone, though. 44 Strikes, 7 balls. Had a nine pitch 5th inning, all strikes. Swing the bats, boys!

And another thing: does Drew Stubbs homer against anyone else in MLB?

Homer Bailey just completely owns the Pirates, and they are not helping themselves at all swinging at the 1st damn pitch almost every at bat...

Last checked and astounding 50 out of 60 pitches for strikes for bailey. Impressive to say the least.

Had no idea today was a day game . . . just logged in to see if there was anything new of interest . . . low and behold, another 7 innings without a run and another whopping start by the veteran pitching leader . . . uuugh.

How bad is the Pirates' hitting?

Zack Duke could throw a 4-hit shutout against this team.

Homer Bailey, 90 mph fastball and an 86 mph change. Confounding the Pirates batters by keeping them on balance.

I thought Bailey actually pitched a little better than Cueto. Cueto threw a lot of pitches in the meat of the strike zone but the Pirates couldn't hit them. Bailey worked the edges better, and the Pirates helped him quite a bit by chasing pitches out of the strike zone.

Incredibly inept peformance from our Buccos. It is time to get Milledge and Iwamura out of the lineup. I want to see Walker at second and Tabata in left. I guess we have to wait until June 1 for Tabata but I don't think it matters for Walker. Get him up here now I don't care if he didn't run out a popup.

Also Clement needs to play every day, so if it's not going to be here he should be sent down.

So we all thought it would happen after the Brewer debacle, but perhaps this sweep by the Reds will get JR his seat back?

I heard, for the first time (for me anyway), the announcers, and Rocco start to question effort at the plate. Pointing out that guys seem to be giving up AB's when the game seems out of reach.

Can't be good for JR, if so.

Next, the screaming, hollering, HS-slogan coach for motivation, I guess.

FWIW, I thought that a fair number of ABs over the last 3 games were lackadaisical at best.
