I'm liking the lineup tonight, except the Church in place of Milledge change tonight thats pretty much the lineup I'd like to see every night...

I think LaRoche could be good in the 2 hole...

In my earlier post, I wasn't ignoring that our hitting has been poop.

I was simply pointing out that our pitching has been an entire sewage treatment plant.

I was following this game on Gameday, but then Duke walked the lead-off batter in the 2nd, proceeded to get an out, and then walked .157 batting Gregg Zaun on 4 pitches.

Game over. The misery continues.

Also, I'm curios to see at this point how many times Doumit can consistently strand two base-runners.

The Pirates are doing what they can as a small market team. Blame Major League Baseball for this garbage.

Some positives:

1.) Evan Meek
2.) LaRoche batting 2nd

Well, that's two anyways.......

Well, I'm sitting here and saying to myself........SELF!.........if Doumit hits into a DP, I'm going to call for his head.

Well, what does my man do on cue? Grounds into a DP.

This guy stinks.

First place San Diego ($38 mil payroll) and first place Oakland ($52 mil) both say, "No, blame the Pirates."

Too bad the Brewers don't get to bat in the bottom of the 9th. They would probably top 20 runs once again.

P.S. When the game is a rout, why doesn't Russell just have a position guy throw? What, he is afraid the guy would "embarrass" the team and would rather have his genuine pitchers give up 53 runs in 4 games?

The lineup change seemed to jump start the offense a little (okay, that's a stretch, but it's also a start), but the pitching...

Let's just say that I'm starting to think Hayden Penn wasn't the only problem...

Adam LaRoche knew how to throw the euphus pitch, I'm sure Andy does too...He might be in the rotation sometime this season...

I believe that quite a few position players have hurt themselves pretty badly doing that. Jose Canseco is the only name coming to mind.

Catcher Eric Kratz pitched a perfect bottom of the 15th last night and even earned a save for Indianapolis. Call him up!
